QUADS November 2009 shows: "Pastimes" and "Curtain Up!" As I
write, the first night of the first play opens in one hour. Looking forward
to it after everyone’s hard work over all these months. Some tickets are
still available from Marilyn (01332 840518). Which show is which night is
below: Good luck everyone! QUADS now on Facebook Some of you have already joined a Facebook group I’ve set up for QUADS. You can find it by searching for Quarndon Amateur Dramatic Society within the Facebook site or use the link below: Quarndon Amateur Dramatic Society on Facebook This group is to attract potential new QUADS members (as always) and make contact with audience members current and new, as well as have greater contact with our neighbouring dramatic groups who are also in Facebook (Derby Shakespeare, Marlowe, Allestree, Belper, etc). Also, Joe Wileman says he’ll put up on the Facebook site some of the professional-quality photos he took at recent rehearsals.
There will be an American Supper - people are asked to bring food to share and drinks for themselves. The play to be read is the comedy ‘Comfort and Joy’ by Mike Harding. The various parts to be read out will be chosen on the night. Please come in optional fancy dress (anything Christmas-related, even that jumper Auntie gave you). There will be a charge of £2.50 on the door and a raffle. Doors will open at 7pm to allow for setting up of the room.
Team Events/QUADS Cabaret Night, Saturday 5th December, 7.45pm The date is confirmed
now for 5th December, 7.45 for 8pm start. There will be an American (Bring
and Share) Supper. Tickets will be £5 to include a prize draw/free raffle.
We are looking for cabaret acts of all sorts, musical, comedy,
whatever you can do, please contact Tony Glover (01332 550603) directly who
