The Opera Dudes – “A Life of Organised Croon”
Friday 18th January 2008, Quarndon Village Hall, 8pm
Tim Lole and Neil Allen combine their
musical and vocal pedigrees with great humour and
charm. As well as their terrific singing, the show
includes their life stories, funny tales, a few surprise
impersonations, a concert piano solo and a silly piano duet in the style of
Morecambe and Wise!
There's a great variety of music from Puccini to Elvis Presley and Dean
Martin via Rachmaninov and Donald Duck! A wonderful evening of "classical
cabaret" which will have you in stitches!
“I’m not really into opera but these
guys were great!”

2008, Quarndon Church
Hall,
6pm (note early
start)
Following the warm reception to their first children’s show
last year,
Quarndon Live & Local have booked another barnstorming family event.
The OTTC are firm Live & Local favourites, with a great reputation for
energetic, belly laugh musical drama appealing to all ages. “Ruby Slippers”
is perfect for all the family - delightful characters, inventive stagework,
lovely music, plenty of laughs and a gentle emotional pull to the story that
will stay with you.
“Take three kids (age 5, 6 and 7), add one harassed mum, a
handful of favourite fairytale characters, mix with a large dressing up box
and leave for five frenetic fun-filled minutes… Result? A topsy-turvy,
helter skelter story of sibling rivalry and parental desperation in a world
of mixed up make believe where the Fairy Godmother’s hot and bothered and
the Wicked Witch is itching to make boy pie!”
With a surprise round every corner and a twist in every tale,
this show is guaranteed to tickle the ribs of children, parents - and
grandparents! (P.S. the story features lots of dressing up, so children are
welcome to come in fancy dress and help make the cast feel at home!)

friendly 6pm start time!
